A Red-Faced Warbler … seems like a pretty difficult bird to find. Very interesting looking. Striking red face with a black streak behind the eye. 👁️

Threw on some clothes and headed out to the patch to bird this morning. Saw not a lot, but it’s like that sometimes. The birds get sparse right before fall migration.

Since I live in South Carolina, we usually see a lot more activity in September.

I set off today to fill up my clean bird feeders. They had been empty for some time, because I have been ill. I am slightly better and wanted to keep these feeders stuffed with seed because fall bird migration is coming! It's such an exciting time for backyard bird feeding. You never know what could happen. I love drinking my coffee in the morning and seeing what surprises might await me. HOW TO CLEAN YOUR FEEDERS: -Rinse off with water -Use dish soap and throughly clean and scrub your feeders -Soak in Bleach Solution for max 30. minutes, you can use vinegar in place of bleach as well. This bird is a threatened species due to habitat loss. I went to the Helen and Allan Cruickshank Sanctuary in Rockledge Florida, which was about 20 minutes from where I was staying in Merritt Island. I am glad I ventured out to target bird! This bird is so cute. They are rather bold, and will come down on front of you and sit. They are curious, very vocal and I spend a lot of time watching them fly from one tree to the next. They seem to communicate with each other when I got up to move and would follow me.
