Recently, I was insulted when someone called my favorite bird, a “shit bird”. Shit bird, trash bird, it’s all the same. But what exactly does it mean?

A Trash bird is different for everyone

Some people say they have no trash bird. Its basically, a bird that you do not like, or see too often to even care about. Others, have a few trash birds, and consider birds that are invasive, high on the list. For myself, I really do not like House Sparrows. They seem to thrive everywhere and where they don’t belong. Do I consider them a trash bird? Yes. There aren’t too many birds on my trash bird list.

Do you have a trash bird?

There are those that vow never to have a trash bird, and solemnly swear that the phrase is terrible and never to assign a bird to it. But I think that somewhere deep down inside, those people actually have a bird, they don’t like seeing all the time.
